The Wilder Studio at The Fox & The Owl gives adults three ways to make art right now, ahead of a late-spring 2027 opening: guided Art Days sessions this fall, a once-a-month public workshop, and open-studio memberships for ongoing practice — no waitlist to start.
The short answer
The Wilder Studio doesn't have a permanent home yet — The Fox & The Owl opens in late spring 2027 — but adults don't have to wait to start making. This fall, guided Art Days sessions run in a temporary space, small and hands-on, led by Nikki. Once a month, a public workshop opens to non-members if studio members haven't filled it. And Open Studio memberships and day passes are open for signup now, for painting, fiber arts, paper, mixed media, mending, and lettering.
We're on the US-281 corridor in Bulverde, an easy drive from Spring Branch, Stone Oak, and the north side of San Antonio. A longer, instructor-led class series is being planned for late spring and summer — not open for signup yet, but The Wilder Studio is actively recruiting the educators to teach it.

Just this fall

Once a month
When studio members haven't filled a workshop, it opens to non-members. Kept to small class sizes on purpose, so it feels more like family than a crowd.

Wren, Sparrow, or Crow — dedicated studio hours every week, scheduled at your availability, with priority access to workshops and classes before they open to the public.
A longer, instructor-led class series (6–8 week runs) is being built for late spring and summer. The studio is recruiting outside art educators to teach it — see The Wilder Studio page to inquire.

If you want a single fun evening
Plenty of studios around San Antonio run a guided one-off canvas night, and that's a great fit for a one-time outing with friends. That's not what The Wilder Studio is built around.
If you want somewhere to keep making
A curated creative studio — not an open-shop makerspace — built around painting, fiber arts, paper, mixed media, mending, and lettering. Art Days and the monthly workshop are the low-commitment way in; Open Studio membership is where an ongoing practice lives.
